After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe and her master's degree at Governors State University, Krista began her career as a speech-language pathologist in the Chicagoland area in 2001. In the time since, Krista has been providing therapy to children in the schools and pediatric rehabilitation settings.

She regularly collaborated with the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. She is trained in the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and was a primary participant in the multi-disciplinary Developmental Diagnostics Clinic.
