Lauren has worked with the pediatric population for the past 15 years in a private practice setting.  She received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Western Kentucky University and her M.S. in Hearing and Speech Sciences from Vanderbilt University.  In addition to her Tennessee licensure, Lauren holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Lauren has extensive experience working with young children and treating a variety of language and speech sound disorders in therapy.  Areas of special interest include developmental disabilities and social language skills.  Lauren believes that learning to talk and communicate effectively should be fun, and she truly values the individual relationships that she has with each child and family. 

For the past several years, Lauren has volunteered with the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.  She is the co-facilitator of weekly Next Chapter Book Club meetings for young adults with disabilities.  Lauren and her husband are members of Broadmoor Church of Christ, where she enjoys teaching the preschool Bible class.  They both enjoy watching baseball and training for half marathons.
