Shelby Sanders grew up in Murray, Kentucky and currently resides in Franklin, TN. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Murray State University and her Bachelor of Health Science in Communication Sciences from the University of Kentucky. She has earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech, Learning, and Hearing Association and is licensed as a speech-language pathologist in the state of Tennessee.

As a speech-language pathologist, Shelby has worked in the area of pediatrics in both the private practice and school settings. She has provided evaluations and treatment interventions for early-onset speech and language delays, school-aged speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorders, phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, selective mutism, and dyslexia. Shelby is also certified to provide assessments and treatment using the Interactive Metronome. Shelby’s passionate about her work with children of all ages and their families. Her objective is always to make learning and communicating both enjoyable and rewarding.

Outside of the clinic, Shelby enjoys being with her husband, friends and family, going to church, doing things outdoors, playing with her dog, Millie, and traveling around the country. She is a die-hard Kentucky fan alongside Jonna, one of our other Word of Mouth SLP’s!
